This policy explains what personal data The Cat Outfit ("we", "us") handles, why, and how we protect it. It covers this website (catreports.com), the private Cat Reports dashboard behind its login, and the online stores we run. We handle personal data under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010.

1. Who we are

The Cat Outfit is an online business in Malaysia that sells through its own website (thecatoutfit.com) and on marketplaces, TikTok Shop and Shopee. Contact details are on our contact section.

2. This website

The public pages of catreports.com (this page, the home page and the Terms of Use) do not use cookies, advertising or tracking, and do not ask visitors for any information. Our web server keeps ordinary technical logs (for example the time of a request and its address) for security and to keep the service running.

3. The Cat Reports dashboard

Cat Reports is a private tool used by our own team to understand our sales, advertising cost and profit. It is protected by a login and is not open to the public or to other businesses. A member of our team who signs in gives us an email address and a name, and a login token is kept in their browser until they sign out.

4. What data the dashboard handles

• Business data: the orders, products, prices, costs, postage, settlements and advertising cost of our own website, TikTok Shop, Shopee and advertiser accounts.
• Customers of our own websites: the name, email address and phone number given to us when a customer orders from one of our websites, which we use to fulfil and support the order and, where the customer agrees, to keep in touch.
• TikTok and Shopee: we read only the figures about our own orders and money. We do not collect or store the names, phone numbers or addresses of the buyers on these marketplaces, and we do not use marketplace buyer information for marketing.

5. Data we read from TikTok

With our own authorization we use the TikTok Marketing API in read-only mode to read the daily advertising cost of our own advertiser account(s), and the TikTok Shop API to read our own orders and settlements. We do not create, edit or delete campaigns or ads, and we do not use audiences, creatives or any user-level data. The access tokens we are given are stored encrypted. We use this data only to produce our own internal reports. We do not share it with, sell it to or offer it to any third party. We stop reading it when we revoke our authorization in TikTok.

6. How we protect data

• The dashboard is accessible only with a password, over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
• Access tokens and secrets for TikTok, Shopee and advertising accounts are stored encrypted, and are never shown again after they are saved.
• Details of customers are visible only to administrators of the dashboard.
• Our systems are hosted with a commercial hosting provider.

7. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share what is necessary with the providers that help us run the business: couriers who deliver parcels, payment providers that process payments, and our hosting provider. Where the law requires it, we may disclose data to the authorities.

8. How long we keep data

We keep order and accounting records for as long as the business and the law require them, and delete or anonymize personal data we no longer need.

9. Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 you may ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to stop using it for marketing. Write to us using the contact details below and we will reply.
